Amanex is an external performance improvement team for organizations that run on frontline people: K-12 schools and districts, colleges, nonprofits, care providers, childcare centers and licensed service businesses. We bring the process improvement expertise most of these organizations never get access to.
Too many of them are doing essential work on spreadsheets, sticky notes and the goodwill of people who stay late. They teach children, care for families and keep communities running. When it comes to the kind of help large companies buy every year, they’re last in line.

Our founder
Edwine Michel has run the operations you’re trying to fix
Edwine Michel is the Founder and Managing Partner of Amanex. He has spent 20 years running operations, and he’s a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Lean Six Sigma is a set of methods for removing waste and errors from a process, and a Master Black Belt is the level that trains and leads other practitioners.
He served as Director of Recruitment and Retention in the nation’s 10th-largest school district. There he led a Lean Six Sigma hiring project targeting 10 days or less to fill a role, and the work was presented to peer districts nationally at the Council of the Great City Schools in 2020.
Edwine holds an M.S., an M.B.A. and an M.Ed. He is a first-generation Haitian-American. He’s based in Denver, Colorado, and works with clients nationally.

Idly has led people in the two places where culture is hardest to change: a public high school and a sales floor. As a Dean of Students and later Director of Student Accountability, Mentorship, and Culture in Atlanta public education, he built the accountability and mentorship systems a school runs on. Before that he founded a residential real estate brokerage and grew it to more than thirty agents. He holds a business certification from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a B.B.A. from Alcorn State University. At Amanex he leads growth, institutional partnerships and program delivery.

Idline brings an educator’s eye and an entrepreneur’s discipline to the work. She has taught, built her own businesses and worked as a real estate professional, and she’s active in community and economic development, where she works to widen access to resources, networks and support for entrepreneurs. Those roles taught her the same lesson from different sides: plans only matter when someone carries them through. At Amanex she leads education partnerships and workforce work, helping schools and organizations move from plan to execution and keeping every commitment on schedule.
Where we’ve done it
Six engagements and counting with one district
Since 2023, a large metro Atlanta school district has brought us back for six consecutive engagements. The work has included leadership retreats, standard operating procedures for core HR processes, and Lean Six Sigma training that certified fifteen Yellow Belts on its HR council.
It has also included executive coaching, an eight-month performance excellence readiness effort that carried its HR division through a state quality award application, and a classification and market study delivered on the district’s timeline. Clients bring us back when the work holds.
