Accessibility

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive tools.

Our standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA

This accessibility statement covers amanexgroup.com, the website of The Amanex Group, LLC. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the international standard for making websites usable by people with disabilities, and AA is the level most public agencies ask for.

Many of our clients are public schools, colleges and agencies with their own accessibility requirements. We hold our own site to the same standard we’d expect of theirs.

How we work toward it

What we build into every page

Readable text and contrast

We choose colors and type sizes that meet AA contrast, and the site works when you zoom to 200%.

Clear structure

Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can move through it easily.

Keyboard access

Menus, links, forms and the booking tool should all work without a mouse, with a visible focus outline.

Text alternatives

Meaningful images have alt text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

Labeled forms

Every form field has a visible label and clear error messages.

Documents

We aim to make PDFs and other files we post accessible, or to offer the same content another way on request.

Where we’re still working

Some parts of the site come from other providers

Our site runs on WordPress.com, and our contact forms and meeting booking come from HubSpot. We choose settings that support accessibility, but we don’t control all of the code these providers serve. If one of these tools gets in your way, tell us and we’ll help you reach us another way.

We review the site when we add new pages, and we fix problems as we find them. Some older or third-party content may not fully meet AA yet.

Tell us

Found something that doesn’t work for you?

Email edwine@amanexgroup.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use, if any.

We’ll reply, work on a fix, and in the meantime get you the information or service you need in a format that works for you. You can also use the same address to ask for any content on this site in another format.
