Performance and Analytics Office

Numbers your board can read in five minutes

The Amanex Performance and Analytics Office pulls your data together from the systems it’s scattered across, builds dashboards your leaders use, and gives your board or funders a monthly scorecard they can read in five minutes. We also run the analysis behind your biggest decisions.

Sound familiar?

The board wants numbers, and you’re building them the night before

Your data lives in five systems. Enrollment is in one, staffing in another, finance in a third, and the grant reports pull from a spreadsheet somebody keeps on their desktop. Every board meeting, someone stays late copying numbers by hand and hoping they match.

Meanwhile the strategic plan has goals, but few of them have an owner or a number attached. When a funder asks how you’re doing, the honest answer takes a week to assemble.

What the office covers

From scattered data to decisions with owners

Data pulled together

We connect the systems you already have into one reliable source for the numbers you report most, so the same figure means the same thing everywhere.

Days to produce the board pack

Dashboards leaders use

A few views built around the questions your leaders actually ask each week, not every number you could show.

Decision analysis

The analysis behind the big calls, such as cost per person served or how many staff you’ll need next year, laid out with the assumptions in plain view.

A plan with owners and measures

Each goal gets one owner, one measure and a target date, so progress is visible without a meeting.

A monthly scorecard

One page your board or funders can read in five minutes: what’s on track, what isn’t, and what’s being done about it.

Part of every Sustain client

The scorecard that shows a fix is holding

Every client who stays with us through Sustain gets a monthly scorecard from this office. It tracks the measures we set at the start of the work, like days to hire or credentials current, so you can see each month whether the improvement is holding.

Every engagement starts with a baseline and ends with the numbers that moved. This office is how we keep measuring after the Fix is done.

Why now

Fewer students means harder choices

US high school graduates peaked in 2025 and are projected to fall 13% by 2041, according to WICHE. Schools and colleges will make staffing and program decisions with less room for error. Nonprofits face less predictable funding. Those decisions go better when leaders can see cost, demand and results in one place.

How we work

Start with the report you dread most

Diagnose (about two weeks)

We look at how your board pack or funder report gets built today, using your own records and systems, and show where the time goes and where the numbers break.

Fix (4 to 12 weeks)

We pull the data together, build the dashboards and scorecard, and set up the plan with owners and measures.

Sustain (optional)

Your staff run it with simple procedures and short training, or we match you with a vetted specialist from our network. We stay on as the quality check, and the monthly scorecard keeps coming.

Fixed fees, agreed up front. We use secure, modern tools, including AI, under our team’s direct supervision, and your information is never used to train anyone’s models.

Common questions

Questions about the Performance and Analytics Office

Do we have to buy a new data platform?

Usually not. We start with the systems and tools you already pay for. If a new tool would save real time, we’ll say what it costs and what it replaces before you decide.

Who keeps the dashboards up to date after you leave?

We set them up to refresh from your systems where they can, and train the people who will own them. If you’d rather not staff it, we can match you with a vetted specialist and stay on as the quality check.

Can you help with a board retreat or a new strategic plan?

Yes. We can bring the data and analysis your board needs to make choices, and turn the plan into goals with owners, measures and dates. Many clients come to us ahead of a board retreat.

How do you handle sensitive student, client or staff data?

Your data stays yours. We work under your rules and your team’s direct supervision, share only what the work needs, and never use your information to train anyone’s models.

What does a scorecard measure?

It depends on the work. A People Office client might track days to hire and first-year turnover, while a Business Office client might track days to get paid. We agree on the measures and the baseline at the start.

Tell us which report takes all night.

In 30 minutes we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help, and what a Diagnose would show.
